MY APPROACH

What Are Sessions Like With Me?

Sessions can be held in person at a private office or in the comfort of your own home. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable and open. I encourage you to settle in, relax, and bring an open mind.

The therapeutic relationship we build together is my top priority. Trust and commitment to the process are the foundation for meaningful healing.

At the start of each session, I’ll do a quick check-in to see how you’re doing and ask what would feel most helpful for us to focus on. From there, we’ll dive into new topics or continue where we left off.

This space is for you. You can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences as deeply and thoroughly as you’re ready for. I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Modalities

Humanistic

I believe people already have what they need to live healthy and fulfilling lives. Sometimes, challenges come up because those inner resources feel blocked or out of reach. Humanistic counseling helps uncover and strengthen those tools so you can move forward.

Cognitive

Our thoughts shape how we feel and act. When thinking patterns don’t match what’s really happening, it can lead to stress or other struggles. In cognitive therapy, we work together to identify and shift unhelpful thoughts so you can find clarity and relief.

Narrative

You are the expert on your own life. Narrative therapy focuses on separating problems from who you are as a person. Together, we explore your unique strengths, values, and skills to help you overcome challenges and feel more in control.

Relational

Relationships have a big impact on how we feel and navigate life. Relational therapy helps you explore the connections in your life—how they shape you, and how they can change for the better. It’s about understanding yourself in relation to others and building healthier, more supportive bonds.

Family Systems

Families are deeply connected. When one person is struggling, the whole family feels it. Family systems therapy looks at how family members influence each other and how those connections can be strengthened to support everyone. It also considers the bigger picture, like cultural or generational patterns, that may play a role.
